These days, brands are coming out with the craziest of bathing suit styles that are bound to grab attention at the beach. But are they for style or function? Yeah, having criss cross straps with an open cut out on the side with a fringe detail might make you the most fashionable girl in the sun but there is only one problem – TAN LINES. These companies are advertising their girls modeling the suits walking around in the streets on a sunny day but are they ever catching some rays? Doubtful. Nothing is worse than a terrible tan line that won’t fade away and these new trends of bathing suits are headed for disaster. Having a striped back and awkward neckline as a tan not my ideal look for the summer and I doubt it is yours either. Unless you’d rather spend hundreds of dollars on a bathing suit you can only walk around in the shade in, I suggest you stick to a traditional two-piece. It’s not like they don’t come in crazy patterns and colors anyways so why not get attention for how great you look in it, rather than for your crazy tan lines you didn’t mean to get.
